Mesa Development - September 11th
The first Real Estate Club meeting of the semester will be held on Thursday, September 11th at the Pyle Center. It is our pleasure to host Richard Hanson, Principal and Founder at Mesa Development.
As founder of Mesa Development, Rich Hanson brings over 30 years of real estate and accounting experience, leading the firm by establishing the strategic direction and investment strategy. His work is grounded by his belief in creating architecturally stunning urban settings located near civic and cultural centers—allowing individuals greater opportunity to contribute to society and enhance their lives. Prior to forming Mesa, Rich spent 16 years as President of Stein & Company and its successor Mesirow Stein Real Estate Inc., where he was involved in many of Chicago’s major developments, including the United Center and US Cellular Field. Prior to Stein & Company, Rich was a Tax Partner and Chairman of the National Real Estate Group, overseeing 93 offices globally, at Coopers & Lybrand (today Price Waterhouse Coopers). Outside of Mesa, Rich stays actively involved in major non-profit boards, including the Metropolitan YMCA, and contributes to the creation of public art in Chicago.
